IMDO joins Asia Matters

The IMDO recently joined Asia Matters, a dedicated Asia institute in Ireland that provides links between key business stakeholders in Asia, Ireland and the EU.

We look forward to actively engaging with Asia Matters in 2017 in accessing critical knowledge, market insight, cultural understanding and trade policy priorities from senior government representatives in Asia, Ireland and the EU to capitalise on business opportunities for Ireland's maritime economy.

In recent weeks, IMDO Director, Liam Lacey, and Business Development Manager, Edel O’Connor, attended the Asia Matters Brexit Workshop, chaired by Alan Dukes, former minister for finance, and Julie Sinnamon, CEO of Enterprise Ireland. The workshop focused on the need for Ireland’s export industry to embrace the opportunity in high growth Asian markets post-Brexit.
